Old: The new of M. Night Shyamalan can be seen in small previews

Director M. Night Shyamalan (Multiple, The Sex Sense) is warming up to present his latest work: Old, a supernatural horror film that will feature Gael García Bernal leading the cast. The film is scheduled to debut at the Spanish box office and around the world on July 23, 2021, and this Sunday thanks to the Super Bowl we will be able to take a look at its first preview. However, Shyamalan wanted to take pity on us and shared some brief excerpts from the trailer on his Twitter account.

As noted from Deadline, the first trailer for Old movie will premiere during the Super Bowl this Sunday. However, M. Night Shyamalan wanted to share an aperitif with his followers through his Twitter account. In the previews we can read labels such as “a new journey from the writer and director M. Night Shyamalan”, accompanied by an enigmatic message: “It is only a matter of time.” We hope Shyamalan will continue to post more clips through Sunday until the countdown is complete and the trailer is revealed in full bloom.

The film’s cast, which the director has described as “strange and dark,” features Gael García Bernal in the title role, accompanied by Alex Wolff, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Embeth Davidtz, Rufus Sewell, Emun Elliot, Aaron Pierre , Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung, and Vicky Krieps. A few months ago we had the opportunity to take a look at part of the filming set, where you could see a strange whitish structure, which seemed to be covered with spines or bones.

At the moment, the details of the plot have not been revealed but we hope that the mystery will be cleared a bit when we know the full trailer. “Outlining the new movie … He leans towards science fiction and fun. I feel very good creating a new story”, were the words of the director when referring to this project. Let’s remember that he also has another movie in mind under the wings of Universal.
